STI falls 0.05% to 2,073.25 in opening minutes

The Straits Times Index fell 0.05 percent at 9:05 a.m.

The index of 30 companies traded on Singapore Exchange fell 1.10 to 2,073.25. Among the stocks in the index, 11 rose, 15 fell and 4 were unchanged.

Declines in the Straits Times Index were led by Capitaland, Singapore Technologies Engineering and Singapore Exchange. About 104.05 million shares changed hands in Singapore.

DBS Group Holdings, which rose 2 cents to $10.88, was the most active stock by value in Singapore.

The next most-active issues were United Overseas Bank, which was unchanged at $13.16, and Singapore Telecommunications, which rose 2 cents to $2.59.
