Genting aims to attract 4.5m visitors annually with theme park

Genting Singapore Plc (GENS SP), the builder of one of two casino resorts, aims to attract about 4.5 million visitors a year when its Universal Studios theme park opens next year, the local press reported, citing Douglas Trueblood, general manager of sales and marketing for Universal Parks and Resorts.
Genting has not fixed ticket prices. Based on a Morgan Stanley estimate of S$70 per ticket, the reports said annual ticket sales may reach $315 million. Genting is trading at $1.12.

中国主权财富基金向来宝集团(Noble Group)投资约8.5亿美元，显示出中国正加大在大宗商品领域的投资力度。来宝集团是一家在新加坡上市的大宗商品船运和贸易公司，在中国有着深厚的根基。
过去两年，中国投资公司(CIC)的投资重点，从对包括百仕通(Blackstone)和摩根士丹利(Morgan Stanley)在内的金融公司的美元投资，转向投资于大宗商品企业以及包括房地产在内的硬资产。
最近中投已与百仕通等美国房地产投资机构进行了接洽。
中投还入股了伦敦金丝雀码头(Canary Wharf)。
中国对自然资源和能源的投资，一定程度上是受到中国经济根本需求的驱动。中国经济一直持续快速增长。但同时，推动此类投资的还有中国政府从美元资产转向多元化投资的意愿。中国官员已多次表达了对美元的担忧。他们担心，如果美元在本国巨额赤字和定量宽松政策的影响下持续贬值，中国的外汇储备可能蒙受损失。
此次配售的包括来宝公司发行的新股以及公司创始人兼首席执行官艾礼文(Richard Elman)的相关信托持股。
此次配售价格的折让只有7%多一点，与近期亚洲配售的折让比例一致。艾礼文打算利用此次出售所得，为一家慈善基金会筹资。
艾礼文与副主席哈里•邦加(Harry Banga)将来宝从一家亚洲本地贸易公司，发展成为在全球拥有业务的跨国巨头。
来宝的大部分业务是采购资源型大宗商品——不管是澳大利亚或印度的铁矿石，还是阿根廷和巴西的大豆——并把它们运到中国，进行加工和销售。
来宝在华业务遍及全国各地，包括一家位于重庆郊区的豆粕加工厂。它与中国大多数钢厂也都有联系。
中投入股来宝，是中国在投资方面越来越回避美国的又一例证。
巴西国家石油公司(Petrobras)最近与中国国家开发银行(China Development Bank)签署了100亿美元的贷款协议，此前该公司与美国进出口银行(ExImBank)签署了20亿美元的贷款协议。
